Mb: Hi Jennifer
Jennygerl: Hey! Sorry I'm late :-)
Mb: No prob... Long day at the office?
Jennygerl: lol...I guess so. Not quite over yet. We have another session at 8.
Mb: Are you recording?
Jennygerl: Yes. David, my fiancé, and I own a studio in New Orleans.. hotoxstudio.com ...... I type slow......................
Mb: And so you're just flying home for the interview and then back? You ARE a big star!
Jennygerl: lol haha. funny... busy busy!
Mb: So tell me about a song like "The Wind". Do you want to inspire people? Jennygerl: Well David was playing a riff on the acoustic and I just wrote about some problem I was having. I try to keep things pretty general so everyone can relate to the stuff.
Mb: No mission?
Jennygerl: Would love to inspire people.
Mb: What would you like to inspire people to do or think?
Jennygerl: Mission. uuuuhhhhh..... Well I don't really see myself as someone who inspires. Songs are more or less my way of communicating to others....
Mb: What do you want to communicate? What do you want to say with your music?
Jennygerl: I want to say buy me! No just teasin :-) I want to talk to people and have them respond in a way like "Hey I've been there before"
Mb: Do you write for yourself or others?
Jennygerl: I write whatever I see or feel. It may be something I'm going through or something I see on TV or with friends etc...
Mb: You sure DO type slow... No typing classes at school?

Mb: lol... I have a feeling you're a real musician's musician. Are you apt on a number of instruments?
Jennygerl: Well I write on piano and guitar, but my main focus is vocals
Mb : You have a wonderfully confident voice .... listening now
Jennygerl: why thank you :-) Which song?
Mb: Spinning from the top... just finished "Made me Believe" They're all very strong tunes
Jennygerl: I'm very emotional ...Temper temper ... Aries.
Mb: Are you making a living as a musician?
Jennygerl: I do ... with the studio.
Mb: Are you producing as well?
Jennygerl: I produce all of my own music as well ...hotboxstudio.com

Jennygerl: Thanks. A lot of work but so worth it. Working for yourself.
Mb: Are you working on any other projects? Producing anyone else?
Jennygerl: Mostly rap stuff. New Orleans is a hotbed for the stuff right now, and it's cash. Most "bands" don't have much money to go into the studio and do a full length CD, so rap is our bread and butter.
Mb: Introduce them to the web?
Jennygerl: Absolutely. We design their web sites ...Currently working on getheard.com
Mb: How's the web experience been for you?
Jennygerl: Love the web.
Mb: How long have been active?
Jennygerl: Been working with computers since I was a child. My father is an architect, who plays guitar, and my mom is an Internet wiz who plays piano so I was exposed early on
Mb: So, what else do you want to talk about?
Jennygerl: I don't know. Didn't think I'd have anything to say actually :-) Why did you pick me?
Mb: Why pick you? Because you have a lot of talent. What do you want people to think when they see jennygerl on the BBs?
Jennygerl: I want them to think "Oh god, not her again." No I want them to like me, I guess. I want people to think I'm kinda cool and consider worshiping me. :-)
